My ideal reader

The ideal reader for my magazine

My ideal reader is Takai Johnson; a working class female who's background heritage is Jamaican and is 21 years old and lives in a prestigious apartment in west London. Her apartment is full of vibrant colours and entails a lot of unique ornaments/furniture which reflects her unique and adventurous personality. She is an entrepreneur- specialising in fashion. Takai owns her own clothing line called UrbanGeneration and distributes her clothes worldwide consisting of countries such as: America, Britain, Italy, France etc. She drives an Audi TT with her own personalised number plate. She owns an iPhone 5S- gold plated and has apps such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, XXL magazine app, Spotify, Tumbler etc. When speaking on socialising terms, Takai enjoys attending extravagant parties with her friends regularly and also attending hip-hop concerts. During her spare time she enjoys going shopping, listening to music, reading magazines relating to music and fashion and cheerleading.

Her favourite movies consist of: Taken, Bring It On, Get Rich Or Die Tryin', Step Up, Fast and Furious and Tyler Perry movies. She would attend hip-hop/R&B concerts such as August Alsina, Rihanna, Eminem, Drake,  Lil Durk, Meek Mill etc. Takai's favourite shows are: Hollyoaks, America's top model, The real housewives of Atlanta, American Dad, Being Mary Jane, Masterchef and many more. The genre of music that Takai regularly listens to different genres of music that includes: Bashment, Hip-Hop/R&B, slow jams, house and reggae. She attends fashion events with her work colleagues which inspire her to come up with ideas on her fashion brand. She shops in places such as: Topshop, River Island, Berksha, Pull&Bear, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Footlocker, Holland and Barretts, Zara and of course, clothes from her own brand. Takai downloads her music via iTunes and will occasionally buy CDs, depending on the artist.

I believe that my magazine would appeal to Takai as she is financially secure, therefore will have no hesitation on spending £5.50 on my magazine. My magazine also entails her fashion sense and music interests which makes it more likely for Takai to purchase my magazine. My magazine is also similar to XXL magazine which makes her more inclined to take interest to my magazine as they are very similar.
